Pure
Yesterday I experience a peace of mind and contentment that can only be described as pure Heaven. It was what I imagine Heaven will be like some day. It was the first day of spring and I was sitting outside enjoying the sunshine, listening to the birds chirp and watching my two-year-old entertain himself with his favorite outside toy, the water table. I felt nothing but pure contentment. Pure peace. Pure joy.
I love the way he holds his mouth when he is concentrating.
Luke insisted on wearing his hat even though it was soaking wet.
I love the back of his head. His hair is the perfect shade of blonde. In Heaven I can only hope my hair is this color. I wonder how much it would cost to get it this color on earth?
Luke finally realized he is cold and wet...and probably hungry.
Time to go in, change clothes and have a snack.
Pure love!

Happy Birthday Macie!
My sweet niece Macie turned two yesterday! She is so smart and has so much personality. I love watching her grow up...only wish I was closer! Happy Birthday Macie!

Triple Dog Dare...why do I fall for those?
This morning I did what I do every morning...wake up before everyone else (so nobody talks to me), pour myself a cup of hot coffee, turn on my computer and read my friends' blogs. Usually, the first blog or two my eyes are still trying to focus...that is how fresh out of bed I am. Anyway, my eyes had just adjusted enough to read Britiney's blog when I got "triple dog dared" to do the most ridiculous thing...take a self-portrait right then and there. Obviously the coffee hadn't kicked in and I was not thinking clearly because I went for it.
The rules:
1. Take a picture of yourself right now. No primping or preparing. Just snap a picture.
(Maybe Britiney didn't realize how difficult that would be for me with my big camera.)
