Jay received his first Holy Communion on Sunday. For born-again Christians it is very much like asking Jesus into your heart. For Catholics, Jesus is received through the Eucharist.
Jay took this very seriously, as did all the children. They looked so sweet and innocent. Especially the girls in their white gowns and veils.
Our friend made individual cakes for Ed and Nick (Jay).
Luke couldn't take his eyes off of them.
He finally got a piece after Jay. You can see there are still tears on his cheek...oh, the drama!!!
Luke with his favorite person in the WHOLE world...Olivia.
Congratulation Jay, on your First Communion. It is a wonderful step in your spiritual life. May God be with you, and Bless You always! And by the way, you look very, very handsome in your special suit! Love ya, Aunt Marline
Oh my goodness, the tear in the cheek is priceless. Congrats to Jay! He looks so handsome. God continue blessing all of you, you're a beautiful family.
"Life is a train of moods like a string of beads, and, as we pass through them, they prove to be many-colored lenses which paint the world their own hue, and each shows only what lies in its focus."
A mother of two, my primary interest is children and family portrait photography. I love children of all ages and I love photographing them doing what kids do...play, sleep, play, eat, play some more. I also love capturing the loving interactions between parents and their children. There is no sweeter bond. And on occasion I enjoy photographing that big 40-year-old kid. Really, it is most men that I know...and some women...and from time to time, myself. I hope you enjoy this blog. To see more, go to www.photographybyginamarie.com

I feel like I sound old when I say, "Bless His Little Heart!" (but that's how I feel!)
Sooooo sweet. Jay looks very serious indeed.
And that little rascall Luke - oh you know there'd be tears over that cake at our house too!
Congratulations Jay! Those pictures of him taking it so seriously are precious. And Luke, the tears over the cake - buddy, I know the drama too!!
Congratulation. I think he looks so handsome!!
The kids do take it seriously. I think it is exciting for them and being accepted and acknowledged as part of the church makes them feel grown up.
