Misc.

It was going to be a beautiful day! Seventy degrees and sunny! Shorts weather!!! Nick got Luke dressed as I rushed around getting Jay off to school. I heard Nick trying to reason with Luke about shoes. Then I heard Luke crying. The crying stopped so I knew they had worked things out. Then I saw this...

Yep, Luke, dressed in shorts and t-shirt wearing his beloved red snow boots. I guess we know who won that one!

Jay brought home an art assignment. A life-sized cut-out of himself that he (me) had to glue to poster-board, cut out and then dress as what he wants to be when he grows up. At first I was annoyed with this project, but I have to admit it turned out pretty cute and Jay actually did the majority of the work.

The pink thing is a beaker in his hand.

BTW...Jay wants to be a scientist/inventor when he grows up. He wants to develop a dog collar that will translate barking into the English language. And he is presently working on designs for a car/airplane/boat. A push of a button and you have your vehicle of choice. Also this vehicle, for easy of parking and theft deterrence, can be shrunken to fit into your pocket.

Jay's First Holy Communion

Jay received his first Holy Communion on Sunday. For born-again Christians it is very much like asking Jesus into your heart. For Catholics, Jesus is received through the Eucharist.
Jay took this very seriously, as did all the children. They looked so sweet and innocent. Especially the girls in their white gowns and veils.

Our friend made individual cakes for Ed and Nick (Jay).
Luke couldn't take his eyes off of them.
He finally got a piece after Jay. You can see there are still tears on his cheek...oh, the drama!!!
Luke with his favorite person in the WHOLE world...Olivia.

Coloring Easter Eggs

Jay is so sweet.
He loves coloring eggs...and is good at it too.
Nobody has to help him anymore.
Nick got to help Luke while I took pictures.
Does he look like he is having fun or what?

Jay's turn to help Luke pick out stickers.
Just checking...patience for a two-year-old doesn't exist when it comes to Easter.
To kill time, Nick had Luke blow on the cup of dye.

All done!

Jay's First Wrestling Tournament

Jay's coach give some advice between rounds. (The paper towel in the front of Jay's singlet is to wipe up any blood...what have we gotten into?)

Jay's division...Intermediate 55. Fifty-five pounds of pure muscle!!!
